Empowered to Thrive Workshop Series

This series of occasional, interactive, no-cost workshops and community meals is co-sponsored by the HIV Services program of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon  and the Aging Well Program of CAP.  Each session covers a unique topic related to the well-being of aging adults living with or affected by HIV. The workshops are held in the Portland metro area, and will resume in the fall of 2020. Time will tell whether or not these will be virtual or in-person meetings. Please check back!

PAST EVENT: Long-term survivors joined addiction specialists to discuss in a non-judgmental and accepting setting, some healthy ways to cope with life’s difficulties.

PAST EVENT: Long-term survivors discussed their experiences with meeting new friends, finding dates, building relationships and forming social circles.

Workshop #1: Power of Volunteering

September 29, 2019.

PAST EVENT: Several local long-term survivors shared how they find volunteering to be a way to both give and to receive.
